How will I edit your project?
I believe that communication between a writer and an editor is crucial.
To discuss your editing needs, click on the Contact tab. You’ll find the information portal where you can fill in details about your project, your deadline, and your expectations, which will be emailed to me.
Once we’ve decided that we’re a good fit, we’ll communicate throughout the editing and proofing phases.
I use The Associated Press (AP) Stylebook (55th Edition), and Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary. Though I use AP style, I will ensure that edits made to your project adhere to your individual brand preferences. If you have a specific style sheet, I will follow it to the letter.
I use the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word software. This tool saves the integrity of your document because it allows both of us to keep a record of all changes that are made.
You will first receive my proposed changes in comment form.
You can then choose to accept or reject the changes.
Finally, you will receive a clean, professionally-edited document.
Editing for websites is done in a Word document, and changes may be applied by the website owner or builder.
You will have the benefit of my strong project management expertise to ensure that we meet your deadlines.
